アクセスシモキタFABコーサク室は、ドイツのケムニッツで6月21-22日に開催されるメイカーフェスティバル「Makers United」のメイカーレジデンスプログラムに参加します。世界各国からのメイカーの皆さんとの刺激的な出会いを楽しみにしています。
"Makers United"とは
Makers United - メイカーによるメイカーのためのフェスティバル。クリエイティブな才能を持つ人々が革新的な技術、製品、そして素晴らしい発明品を披露します。特別なのは、来場者がすべてを実際に試せることです。参加をプログラムの核とし、テクノロジーと科学を創造的で身近な方法で実現します。

"Maker Residence Program"とは
地域および国際的にメーカーとメーカースペースを繋ぎ、支援し、持続可能な知識交流の確立を目指し、非営利団体「Maker eV」が運営するプログラム。50名以上の国際的なメイカーをケムニッツ近郊の多様なメイカースペースに同時に招待し、Makers Unitedで交流と発表の場を提供しています。このレジデンシープログラムは、国際的なメイカーたちが互いに、そして地域社会と繋がり、知識を共有し、文化、分野、専門知識の架け橋となる創造的なプロジェクトで協働する機会を提供しています。（Makers UnitedのWEBサイトより抜粋翻訳）
シモキタFABコーサク室は「Maker eV」のビジョンに賛同します

私たちは今、サステナブルなメイカースペースのあり方を模索しています。
コーサク室では、CO-SAKUロボコンというロボティクスのオープンプロジェクトを推進しています。ロボティクスを、技術に詳しい、手先が器用な、一部の人が楽しめるものではなく、もっとひらかれた、誰にでも親しみやすいものにしていきたい。
そしてこの思いは、ロボティクスコンテンツに限ったことではありません。
「誰もがメイカーである」と、私たちは信じています。誰もがクリエイティブであり、テクノロジーやイノベーションの担い手になれる可能性を持っている。ものづくりを通じた学びや成長、得られる技術は、その人の人生を豊かにし、自信を持つことにつながっていく。ものづくりがもつ大きなポテンシャルを、私たちは、コーサク室で出会う皆さんの姿や、シーンを通じて日々実感しています。
私たちは「コーサク室」という一つの場所に固執するのではなく、まち全体やそこにある資源を活かしながら、メイカースペースの可能性を広げていきたいと考えています。そのためには、自分たちからコーサク室の外に出て、地域の中で、行動することが必要です。自分たちの事業のためだけに動く姿勢では、受け入れてはもらえないでしょう。地域社会からの要請に応え、ものづくりを通して地域社会の未来に貢献したいのです。
そんなふうに考えていた時に、Makers Unitedのお話をいただきました。メイカースペースと、地域と、そして世界中のものづくりをする人たちをつなぎ協働の機会を提供するMakers Unitedのあり方は、私たちが下北沢で地域の皆さんと共に開催したシモキタロボフェスのシーンと重なりました。メイカースペースは地域でどんな価値を提供するのか、存在意義をアップデートしていく取り組みだと感じ、参加を決めました。CO-SAKUロボコンのロボットを抱えて行ってきます。参加期間中は、出来るだけ現地から発信をし、Makers Unitedでの経験を多くの方々とシェアしたいと思っています。ご期待ください！
We are currently exploring what a sustainable makerspace can be.
At our space, CO-SAKU-shitsu in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, we run an open robotics project called CO-SAKU Robocon. Through this initiative, we aim to make robotics more accessible—not something exclusive to those with technical skills or crafty hands, but something open, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone.
This approach extends beyond robotics. It reflects our broader philosophy toward making:
We believe that everyone is a maker.
Everyone has creative potential, and everyone holds the possibility of becoming a contributor to technology and innovation. The learning, growth, and skills gained through making can empower people, build confidence, and enrich their lives—we see this happening every day through the meaningful encounters at CO-SAKU-shitsu.
We also want to go beyond being just a physical space. Rather than being tied down to a single location, we seek to expand the potential of makerspaces by tapping into the resources of the city itself. To do that, we believe it's essential to step outside our walls and take action within the community. If we only act out of self-interest, we won’t be accepted. Our goal is to respond to the needs of the local society and become a presence that nurtures future makers—those who will help shape their towns through creative practice.
When we learned about Makers United, it felt like the perfect match. The way it connects makerspaces, local communities, and people making things around the world deeply resonated with what we’ve been doing through Shimokita RoboFes, a local event we organized with our neighbors in Shimokitazawa. For us, Makers United is a chance to rethink and update the role and value of a makerspace within its community.
We're excited to take part in this journey—with our robots from CO-SAKU Robocon in hand.Throughout the event, I’ll be sharing as much as I can directly from the venue. I hope to bring the Makers United experience to a wide audience—both in Japan and beyond. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you!

スタッフがMakers Unitedに参加するため、変則営業となります。特にドロップインでご利用のお客様は、営業カレンダーをご確認のうえ、ご予約ください。会員の方は、ほぼ通常どおりご利用いただけます。
